    Version 1.9.0

    Released Jul 14, 2026 - 213.9 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    v1.9.0 — the see-through release.

Copy clean URL now sees through tracking redirectors: links wrapped by corporate email protection, search-engine click-trackers, and social outbound wrappers copy as their real destination — recovered from the link itself, with zero network requests, as always.

AMP pages un-AMP: copying an AMP viewer link gives you the real article URL, with AMP transport clutter removed.

Works on plain text too: select a URL that isn't a clickable link and right-click for "Copy clean URL from selection".

New address-bar keyword: type "clean", press Tab, paste a URL, and jump straight to its clean form.
All add-on validation warnings from the previous version are cleared.

Under the hood: thousands of new automated checks (including a fuzzing suite) guard every release.

    Version 1.8.0

    Released Jul 8, 2026 - 209.25 KB
Works with firefox 121.0 and later, android 121.0 and later
    v1.8.0 — the everywhere release.

A hundred-plus new sites supported (127 total, up from twenty-four): major search engines, cloud documents, international marketplaces and classifieds across Asia, Europe, and Latin America; more travel booking sites; streaming, gaming, music, film, books, weather, and Q&A platforms; plus a news pack covering more than fifty outlets across every region — each with its own toggle.

Functional state always survives cleanup: variant and size selections, playlist and queue context, video timestamps, answer pagination, private-server invites, and paywall gift links all keep working. Only tracking clutter is removed.

The popup is organized by world region with site-type subheadings, a filter box for finding a site quickly, and remembers which sections you keep open.

Copy a clean link faster: the popup previews the current page's cleaned URL with a one-click copy button, and a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+L, rebindable) copies a clean URL of the current page from anywhere.
As always: zero network requests, zero data collection.

  • Version 1.7.0

    Released Jun 11, 2026 - 186.73 KB
Works with firefox 121.0 and later, android 121.0 and later
    v1.7.0 — major release.

Twelve new sites supported, bringing the total to twenty-four. Each new site has its own per-site toggle in the popup.

Smarter about what to keep: variant selections, playlist position, comment deep-links, video timestamps, and paywall gift links all survive cleanup on the sites that use them.

New "Universal tracking strip" feature (off by default, opt-in): strips utm_*, gclid, fbclid, and other common trackers from URLs on every site you visit. The first time you enable it, your browser asks permission to access all sites — decline and the feature stays off.

New right-click "Copy clean URL" menu: works on any link or on the current page. Runs the URL through every supported per-site cleanup plus a fallback tracker strip, then copies the result to your clipboard.
New Advanced settings page (linked from the popup): configure exceptions for the Universal tracking strip — skip specific domains, or keep specific parameters that would otherwise be stripped.

Popup redesigned: per-site toggles grouped into collapsible Shopping / Travel / Social & media sections with live counts that remember how you left them. Smarter status text. Respects prefers-reduced-motion.
Install-time permission prompt is now smaller: all-sites access is no longer requested up front, only when you turn on the Universal tracking strip.

Fixed: cleanup now preserves the URL parameters modern sites use for in-page state (photo galleries, carousels, variant selectors, queue context, comment deep-links, playlist position). Previously some of these were stripped within a second, causing modals to flash open then close.

Fixed: URL fragments are preserved on hotel listing pages; observers disconnect when toggled off; URL polling pauses in background tabs.

  • Version 1.6.3

    Released May 17, 2026 - 147.24 KB
Works with firefox 121.0 and later, android 121.0 and later
Bug fixes and broader site coverage.

Amazon: "5 star", "4 star", and other review-filter links now navigate to the
filtered reviews page correctly (previously broken). "Reviews", "More product
details", and other in-page section anchors now jump to the section instead of
reloading the page. "See all sellers" / offer-listing links preserve the
seller filter. Address bars on reviews and offer-listing pages now clean up to
the right page instead of bouncing you to the bare product page.

Spotify: "Share at this moment" timestamps for podcast episodes and tracks
(?t=) are now preserved in the cleaned URL.

Reddit: subreddit front pages (/r//) now get their tracking params
stripped too, preserving sort + timeframe (?sort=, ?t=). User-profile post
    permalinks (/user/<u>/comments/...) are now recognized.

Facebook: 5 additional URL forms now get cleaned — /<page>/videos/,
    /<user>/photos/, /groups/<gid>/permalink/, /events/, and /marketplace/item/.

TikTok: the /share/video/<id> canonical share form is now recognized.

Hotel sites: listing URLs with a trailing slash are now recognized.

Performance: the Amazon content script no longer runs on the AWS console,
    sellercentral, advertising console, music.amazon, or developer.amazon —
nothing for it to do there. The background polling on social and hotel sites
pauses when a tab is in the background.
