MyTab is a new-tab bookmark manager designed to keep everything on your own device.
Data we collect: None. MyTab does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
What MyTab stores and where: Your boards, bookmarks, layout, wallpapers and settings are stored locally in your browser (storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
Site icons: In Firefox, MyTab requests each site's icon once from DuckDuckGo's icon service (icons.duckduckgo.com), then caches it locally on your device so it loads without further network requests. Only the domain name of a bookmark you added is sent — never your browsing history or any personal data.
Permissions we use:
- bookmarks — only to import your existing Firefox bookmarks, at your request (read-only).
- activeTab / tabs — to read the current page's title and URL when you choose to save it, and to open your saved links.
- storage / unlimitedStorage — to save your boards, wallpapers and settings on your device.
Analytics & tracking: None. MyTab has no analytics, no ads, and no third-party trackers.
Remote code: MyTab runs only the code included in its package. It does not download or run remote code.
