<strong>NX Chat Tools</strong> is one extension that gives moderators, streamers and viewers a full toolkit inside <strong>Twitch and Kick</strong> chats — from a single codebase on Chrome and Firefox. Everything runs locally in your browser: no server, no sign-in with us, no data collection.

<strong>For moderators</strong>

<ul><li>Quick per-message actions on hover: <strong>timeout / ban / delete</strong> (shown only when you're a mod).</li><li>Configurable timeout presets (e.g. 60 / 600 / 3600 s).</li><li>Mistake protection: ban confirmation or a 10-second <strong>Undo</strong> toast — a rate-limited, de-duplicated action queue means a spam-click never fires 20 commands.</li><li><strong>Purge</strong> — delete all visible messages from a user in one click.</li><li>Per-user notes and message history for the current session (click a nickname).</li><li>Action log + undo (timeout/ban/unban/delete).</li><li><strong>Toxicity meter</strong> (local heuristics: lexicon, CAPS, repeats, zalgo — no AI, nothing sent out).</li><li><strong>Spam-wave / copypasta detector</strong> with a "Timeout all" mass action.</li><li>Auto-escalation — suggests the next penalty from a user's session history.</li><li>Nickname colouring by session penalty history.</li></ul>

<strong>For streamers</strong>

<ul><li>Stats tab: messages/min, unique chatters, total, top emotes.</li><li><strong>Hype meter</strong> — detects a spike in rate + positivity and suggests "clip it".</li><li>Question queue (Q&A) and pinned messages.</li><li>Mood ring (chat mood) and word cloud / trending.</li><li>Bot-free chat minigames ("first to type the keyword").</li><li>Session recap.</li><li>Regular viewers (★) and giveaway (keyword entry, winner draw).</li><li>Cross-stream analytics (channel averages across sessions).</li></ul>

<strong>For viewers</strong>

<ul><li><strong>7TV / BTTV / FFZ</strong> emotes rendered inline on both platforms, with a tooltip (name + provider).</li><li>Emote combos — collapse repeats into a counter.</li><li>Emote autocomplete in the chat input, plus a bare-<code>:</code> picker with your recent and favourite emotes (right-click = toggle favourite ★).</li><li>Search across the session's messages.</li><li>Watchlist (highlight) and ignore list (collapse).</li><li>Muted words (collapse messages) and personal alerts (words/regex, optional sound).</li><li>Ping-on-user 🔔 — highlight + sound when a chosen person posts.</li><li>Reply / quote (↩) — inserts @login (or a quote) into the chat input.</li><li>Catch-up — when you return to the tab, a short summary: new messages, top emotes, notable lines.</li><li>Accessibility: colourblind-friendly highlights (shapes, not just colour) and a dyslexia-friendly font/spacing.</li></ul>

<strong>Live updates</strong>

7TV emotes refresh in real time via the 7TV EventAPI — a newly added emote appears without reloading the page.

<strong>Privacy</strong>

The extension has no server and collects no data. Your settings live in your browser profile. The only network calls fetch public emote sets and images from 7tv.io, events.7tv.io, cdn.7tv.app, api.betterttv.net, cdn.betterttv.net, api.frankerfacez.com, cdn.frankerfacez.com, plus Kick's public API to resolve a channel's ID from its name. Usernames and message content are never sent to these services — only the public channel ID/name needed to fetch the right emote set. No analytics, no tracking, no data sales.
