- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18754581, 2 years agoIt's okay. It does the job, but it's got a long way to go before it can replace the likes of Bitwarden.

Integrated email alias feature is very good, this why I switched from 1Password to Proton, but some features are missing (autocomplete credit cards, saving a key (and not a only a login/password), ...)Developer response
posted 2 years agoThank you for your review. We've shared your feedback with the team for future consideration.
Regarding the option to save a key, could you elaborate more on this? The Proton Pass extension already offers the option to save a 2FA secret key (TOTP) (proton.me/support/pass-2fa). If you're referring to something else, contact us using the 'Feedback & Help' option to let us know. - Rated 3 out of 5by rptb1, 2 years agoProton Pass has an attractive front end, but few technical advantages over e.g. Firefox password manager. Most of its fancy features don't work properly. It has many false positives for "re-used passwords" and "weak passwords" making its advice meaningless. I'm hoping it develops more actual function and not just surface buzzword stuff.
Oh, and it's only "free" for basic use. They will *totally* pressure you to buy more services.Developer response

The popup showing the users is still popping. It was working in the previous version.

posted 2 years agoSorry to hear that. Could you share more details about the issue? Which specific websites have you experienced this behavior with? What version of the Firefox browser do you currently have installed? Have you tried reinstalling the extension to see how it goes? Contact us at https://proton.me/support/contact with more details so we can help. - Rated 3 out of 5by Sparrow__, 2 years agoThis is my preferred password manager and MFA tool but it still needs a lot of work. In particular the process of creating a new account needs fixing so that new accounts and logins created are automatically saved, rather than having to manually create a login and then manually feed the details into the website. Currently Proton Pass suggests a login and password to autofill but does not actually save these automatically if you select them. This means that you immediately have to change you password again.

posted 2 years agoCan you let us know if you have autosave enabled in the Proton Pass extension settings (proton.me/support/proton-pass-autosave)? If so, note that we're working on improving the autosave for all websites reported by our community. Please feel free to flag any problematic websites to us through the 'Feedback & Help' option, and we'll note your feedback for future improvements. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18260401, 2 years agoAdded to Firefox, instantly the browser starts experiencing lock ups which I have to force quit out of. Disappointing.
EDIT: Seems there was a conflict. I had the LastPass extension installed, and as part of testing out the Proton Pass product, to see if I could switch, I had left LastPass installed. Once I disabled the LastPass extension in Firefox, the Proton Pass extension worked correctly.Developer response
posted 2 years agoThat doesn't sound right. Would you mind describing the issue further? What are the exact steps you're taking that lead to these lockups? Are you receiving any error messages? We'd be more than happy to help, but we need some basic details to work with. Contact us at proton.me/support/contact so we can help. - Rated 3 out of 5by Mark, 2 years agoI love the Proton suite of products, but this app/extension just doesn't reliably respond to a login! The FFox & Edge browser PW managers do consistently, but unfort. not Proton. Would love if they fixed this!

- Rated 3 out of 5by Giorgi, 2 years agoThe addon is very basic and needs work.
At least bio-metrics login should be implemented.Developer response
posted 2 years agoThank you for taking the time to review our extension Giorgi! Biometrics are harder to implement in a browser extension, although we do support them in the mobile apps. You can protect your extension with a PIN lock though, and we also recently introduced the ability to have a second password for Proton Pass only, for users that deem this more secure.
If you have any further suggestions or feedback, don't hesitate to reach out to us via the 'Feedback & Help' option. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18455463, 2 years agousability could be better (missing shortcuts). Buggy, sometimes the correct credentials do not appear.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16858997, 2 years agoVery good but miss 1 very important feature: work offline ;)
Developer response
posted 2 years agoThank you for your review and feedback! Except for certain functionalities like syncing/adding new aliases etc. which would require you to be online, the Proton Pass extension can already be used offline. As for the password generator, you can easily access it by selecting the '+' icon → Password. - Rated 3 out of 5by Hugh, 2 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Chaython, 2 years agoBugged Features: My import from bitwarden only copied 472 entries, can't delete the bad import, have to manually select each password one by one....
Lacking features: No general purpose auto-fill [address id etc]
Paid only feature available FREE in other password managers: cardsDeveloper response

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13361751, 2 years agoVery disappointed!
The Proton pass accounts settings still being lost after logout. Why? I do not want to setup them every time I log in. In Bitwarden they are being saved after logout.
The Mozilla account still does not working.
When you launch Proton Pass for the first time, it does not show my logins. Only the login for the opened website, which is very inconvenient. What if I want to launch another website from Proton pass?
These bugs have been reported earlier, and none of them were fixed. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18174442, 3 years agook but it glitches. will suddenly say "locked" despite entering PIN. have to log out of proton and back into it for it to reactivate

In the meantime, please try reloading the extension and make sure you are using the latest version. - Rated 3 out of 5by slawnkale, 3 years agoThere are some things that bother me a bit. But overall the addon seems like a good start and perhaps will be polished to an excellent product. Anyway, the thing that bothers me the most is that in the 'vault' clicking "Password" field will copy the password to clipboard. This is a good thing but I think it's made too easy and I think that a separate button for this would be better. Same thing with the "Note" field, I find clicking it to copy everything in it to be a too easy way, and I'd prefer a separate button.
There's also one more thing but I don't know if it's a fault of Proton Pass, Firefox or, in this case, Bitwarden: when migrating from Bitwarden, the "Created" date is not exported to Proton Pass. Perhaps Bitwarden doesn't export this info? If there's a way around this, would love to hear it.Developer response

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18013034, 3 years agoLove the idea. Currently very buggy.
80% of the time outofill on existing logins does not work.
I do not want to import from outher sources, to prevent importing old accounts with invalid pw data.
So want to organically fill it upon time once I login to certain pages. But exactly this is not working because the ProtonPass dialog does either not show up at all on the login screen, or its not possible to fill in all information.
Reddit for example. Dialog did not even show up.Developer response
posted 3 years agoThank you for your review! We're working on improving the auto-fill for all websites. Auto-fill may also work on one OS version, but not on another.
Feel free to contact us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com with more details about your device model, app version, and which exact websites/apps don't work, so we can document your report for our devs to take under advisement. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17749414, 3 years agoWhy do I have to keep filling in my gmail account and password?
