by Firefox user 15033269, 5 years agoFor deleting cookies this is superb. But as it's matured it has become incredibly complex with so many options but too few explanations as to how to master the add-on. Being a bit of a privacy geek, I want to reject all cookies that track and exploit my details but have an EASY option to make the site remember that I've rejected everything not essential. Instead I have to constantly keep rejecting everything. It's always back to square one As per usual every individual uses an individual phrase when searching for the answer. If it is in FAQs, I don't have the patience to read a War & Peace to find what seems an obvious request.

posted 5 years agoYou can choose to keep selective cookies that are essential to your case per site. You'll need to find the cookie that keeps that rejection config. Feel free to open a support issue through our GitHub repo if you need any further assistance.

- Rated 5 out of 5by ebayybe, 17 days agoI’ve been looking for an extension that gives flexible control over cookies, and Cookie AutoDelete is a perfect match. I whitelisted the sites where I need to stay logged in (emails, social media), and all the other tracking garbage gets deleted automatically when tabs close. No more clogged browser cache. 5 stars!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Alphonse, a month agoDoes what it says and also clears out local storage (sometimes websites use in lieu of cookies) for all websites by default. Setting up per-site/domain exceptions is a two-click process. You can turn off the cleanup notifications if they become annoying.

A good successor is "Auto-Clear Site Data" by byuserforuser

- Rated 5 out of 5by kr33pt0, 2 months agoThis is one of my favorite MUST HAVE extensions... I use it together with FireFox Containers - it's fully compatible.
So it remembers my preferences per container... Random cookies don't stand a chance. The ones I want remembered stay remembered. Just make sure you set it up right. Read their warning about new versions of FireFox and set it accordingly. - Rated 1 out of 5by Vamone, 3 months agoDoes not work......... No blacklist. No setting to delete everything by default unless whitelisted. wtf is this garbage?
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18157935, 4 months agoWhen using machines, and or Win OS that are not the very latest Ex: Windows 10 or below (This may incl. Win 11- Which I don't use) and or if the internet cache is insufficient to workload, esp during long sessions, many sites, (ie: social media, streams etc) can become sluggish, or misbehave in various ways depending on the factors mentioned above. CAD has been VERY helpful to Me, when cleaning the cache, fixes certain cookie accumulation that can hinder optimum functionality.
This extension is excellent when: Configured & compatible with the host device, OS vers, browser settings, running apps/ext. and when used properly, for that which it is specifically designed.
NOTE: It is IMPERATIVE to learn and understand ALL the settings, options and to utilize them correctly. Customize them as per your personal needs. Failure to do this could result in a less then ideal or a negative experience of this fine, useful extension. - Rated 5 out of 5by Mot, 4 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by richmoz, 7 months agoUnfortunately no longer works. Says it deleted cookies but the cookies are still there, very deceiving. GitHub Issues ignored, project dead.
What a shame, this is a much needed extension. - Rated 5 out of 5by Dzluck, 7 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19506450, 8 months agoThis addon is no longer auto deleting cookies that aren't whitelisted. And it seems a number of cookie managers are now suffering the same issue, WTF Mozilla can't add this as a standard features to FF is beyond me.

Firefox have some protection built in but this gives you much more control with whitelists etc just 2 clicks away if you need it which makes it a must to those that want some level of anonymity while surfing the net.
