by clivejo, a year agoDespite paying for Pass Plus until 4th August 2025, Proton downgraded me to a free account because I subscribed for VPN!! Apparently you can't have two plans on your account unless you sub to the "Unlimited Plan". No, I don't want Drive, Calender, Mail or Wallet, I wanted Pass and VPN. Stinks of Micro$oft behaviour! Been trying to sort it out with support via ticket for 10 days, who just reply with nonsense. Migrating back to BitWarden, so bye bye Proton.
Reply to Proton - "you're free to utilize only the services that you have use of" as long as we pay for the "Unlimited Plan" I paid for Pass Plus up until 4th August 2025 and I am NOT free to use the services I paid for, because Proton took them away from me!! This is greedy and immoral behaviour, like a shop saying the only way for me to purchase 2 t-shirts is to buy a pack of 7! But 5 of the T-shirts I will never use because they are ugly and will NEVER wear them! This is nothing more than Proton engaging in up-selling for greed and profit, not caring about loyal customers, plain and simple!

Developer response
posted a year agoWe're very sorry to hear that. Note that it is indeed not possible to have two different subscriptions, such as Pass Plus and VPN Plus, active on your Proton account simultaneously. The Proton Unlimited plan gives you access to the premium features of both our Pass and VPN services, as well as the other services that are part of Proton's ecosystem. That said, you're free to utilize only the services that you have use of.

Was mich besonders überzeugt:
Passt sauber ins Proton-Ökosystem, falls man bereits Proton Mail o.ä. nutzt
- Rated 5 out of 5by Aaa Bbb, 6 days ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Dax the Duck, sorta, 6 days agoI’ve been super happy so far. I find it to be a better experience than both Bitward and Keeper, the two other password managers I tried. It also has a free tier which is quite good.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Matías, 7 days agoIt's clear that a lot of care has been put into this manager; it's a very well thought, complete solution and Proton team has been constantly polishing and adding features. It occasionally has trouble recognizing login fields on some sites, but there are always going to be edge cases and I'm confident they'll be gradually addressed as users flag them.
