by mike, 2 months agoI like the password generation features. There's also ability to use email aliases if you pay for premium features, but when not paying, it seems it shouldn't offer an email alias (including at times that seem confusing , when just trying to find a password ). So the email alias features seems like a fail for the free version, but a feature if you're going premium. And really, if you don't go premium, you kinda end up with tech bro companies running the world. How's that going for us?
Also, I totally agree with another review I saw that said: "the extension will often ask me if I want to save a username and password for a site when it already has the details for that site... not sure on the cause."
Otherwise, its solid. The UX is smooth but possibly a little too technical for the non-techies in my life. But I suspect still very usable. Although I ended up here today because Mozilla is griping about the extension requires extra permissions... but its unclear what permissions are needed or why. might be a mozilla issue not this extension issue. unclear.
Al that said, I like the number of features and gave it an extra star due to this fact!! Reduced one just so the review might be read. This is the best password manager due to features... but due to that fact, it comes occasional confusion.
✅ open source
✅ polished & professional
✅ customizable password generator
✅ easy import/export from other managers
✅ sync across devices
✅ android
✅ iphone
✅ firefox
✅ chrome. (i think so, check?)
✅ safari
❎ duckduckgo browser. nope. oh well, everything else.

posted 2 months agoThank you for your detailed feedback. We've made sure to document it accordingly. That said, as we're constantly working on improving Proton Pass, feel free to contact us at https://proton.me/support/contact with more details about the websites where autosave is being prompted despite already having a login saved, so we can note your feedback for future improvement. Also, we'd be happy to clarify the exact permissions you're referring to.

Was mich besonders überzeugt:
Passt sauber ins Proton-Ökosystem, falls man bereits Proton Mail o.ä. nutzt
- Rated 5 out of 5by Aaa Bbb, 5 days ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Dax the Duck, sorta, 5 days agoI’ve been super happy so far. I find it to be a better experience than both Bitward and Keeper, the two other password managers I tried. It also has a free tier which is quite good.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Matías, 7 days agoIt's clear that a lot of care has been put into this manager; it's a very well thought, complete solution and Proton team has been constantly polishing and adding features. It occasionally has trouble recognizing login fields on some sites, but there are always going to be edge cases and I'm confident they'll be gradually addressed as users flag them.
